Cancellation Policy
Gorge View Bush Retreat is not a typical campground or caravan park. There are plenty of those available. Your stay at Gorge View Bush Retreat will be unique.
Our policies help us provide authentic outback hospitality.
For bookings of 2 rooms or less:
Payment: A 20% deposit is required on booking. Full payment due 4 weeks before your stay.
We prefer bookings made directly through our website rather than a 3rd party. Enter DIRECT as the code on your booking to receive a 15% discount for booking directly with us!
Cancellations:
For bookings fewer than 2 rooms/sites:
a full refund will be provided if cancellation is made more than 14 days before the commencement of booking.
50% refund will be provided if the cancellation is made between 14 and 3 days before the commencement of the booking
No refund will be provided if cancellation is made within 3 days of your reservation.
For bookings of more than 2 rooms/sites:
0% non-refundable deposit made at time of booking
Full payment required 60 days prior to arrival
Cancellation of more than 2 rooms/sites for refund (minus deposit), more than 30 days’ notice required.
14 days or less notice for cancellation, no refund.
Pets are welcome at the express permission of Gorge View Management. Management can withdraw permission for a pet to be on site at any time.
Fires: Gorge View Bush Retreat is unique in that it allows guests to enjoy camp fires. Gorge View Bush Retreat requests that firewood be gathered OFF SITE. Guests found breaching the firewood collection rule may be found to be in breach of the conditions of their stay at Gorge View Bush Retreat. Fires are to be in fire pits only.
Waste : Gorge View Bush Retreat has eco values. Please do not bring waste to dump at our site. Please be mindful in the waste you create. There is no waste dumping (septic) facility on our site.
Water: Our water is drinkable. It is bore water.
River Access: River Access is by foot only. Please ask for directions from staff.
Keeping Gorge View Bush Retreat the best place to stay in Katherine:
Firewood is to be collected off site. Please bring your firewood to Gorge View Bush Retreat. You can’t collect it here.
Fires and flames are not to be bigger than 60cm. No bonfires. No big fires. Keep them small and in the designated fire pits.
No music after 9pm.
Be respectful of your neighbours. Go to bed. Be quiet. If you’re going to stay up late, go away from your neighbours.
Turn the lights off at night
Don’t drive in such a manner that causes dust. SLOW DOWN.
Your pet might be your best friend. It might not be ours. Pets and their owners can be evicted at any time without warning.
Disrespectful behaviour is not tolerated. We love people. We don’t like bad behaviour, and we don’t have to put up with it. Take your bad behaviour somewhere else. We’ll let you know if we don’t like your behaviour, and where you can take it.
Maximum 6 guests per camping site. More than 6 guests? Why not enquire about booking out the whole place to really enjoy yourself.

No Feeding Policy: We strictly enforce a no feeding policy to discourage habituation of wildlife to human presence and to prevent potential negative consequences for both animals and guests.
Native Flora and Fauna: We promote the use of native plants in our landscaping efforts to provide suitable food and shelter for local wildlife species.
Animal Welfare: We adhere to ethical and humane standards when interacting with animals, ensuring that any domestic animals on our property are well cared for and provided with appropriate accommodations.
